Her album 21 is just amazing and has become the best selling album worldwide in 2011 with over 15 million copies. It is weird to heard this kind of music on radio station where they usually play pop or rock music, but this just means that her talent is huge. 21 has reached the Billboard nº1 position for 12 weeks. This is a success for a british artist, beacuse few of them have achieved this goal: Amy Winehouse, George Michael and Rolling Stones.
Most of the songs I´ve heard belong to her second album called 21 and definitely love them. The name comes from Adele´s age when she first started to write the songs. Her soul and blues music has reached all audiences. Same happened with Amy Winehouse and her black voice. Suddenly all radio stations were playing this kind of music you
couldn´t have imagined before. By the way, Adele attended to the same music academy as Amy (there is a lot of talent in that school).
I´ve also listened to some songs from her first album 19 (her age when started to write them) like Chasing Pavements and are also unbelieveble. As a matter of fact 19 was awarded with 2 grammy in 2009 and was also a hit over the world although not the same as 21.
Adele is actually just 23, although sometimes looks like a 45 yeard-old woman (Adele you should check out your outfit and hairstyle sometimes) has a lovely face and says she feels beautiful despite her overweight. Now I even love you more Adele, cause we are getting tired of artists that want to look like top models, when the most important thing while you sing is the voice, and yours is simply one of the best.
Recently she had to be operated because of a problem in her throat, but after surgery she posted on twitter everything went right. She has also confessed that quit alcohol several months ago when she moved to the beautiful neighborhood of Notting Hill in London.
Her most important hit songs with 21 have been Rolling in the Deep (over the top of the songs last year) and Someone Like You. But for me this is my favourite.
After writing this post I reach these conclusions
- Adele is going to win more than 1 grammy this year
- In England people start to have alcohol problems too early (23 and already rehab)
- Adele writes song every 2 years, so she may be doing that now
- Her new album title will be 23?
