Azealia Banks: from the guetto, but so so cool

Some weeks ago I wrote a post about those artist out of the box in music. Those who bring something new. Suddenly I´ve found this girl.

Her style is kind of weird mixing up hip hop with electronic music, but the result is simply amazing. It´s not the tipical hip hop we all have heard before. It´s something new.

The thing is this girl has started in this world doing what she likes, the kind of music she likes, without a lot of money behind, just her talent and her imagination. She doesn´t have an album cause she doesn´t even have a record company. Some other bitches have all the money they want to launch a new album (I think we all know more than one) including song writers, studios, promotions, and the result is simply a shit.

I saw and interview where she said she is from Harlem and she doesn´t know how to do anything but acting or singing, so she is trying to do her best, or she will be serving french toasts and coffee.  I think this is very
modest and billiant.

Her music is in internet, and her video 212 has received more than 11 million views. Although she is from NYC hes success is coming from UK and Europe.

Just watching the video you can notice she didn´t have a lot of resources to shoot it, and probably the guy is her junky neighbour who accepted to appear just for a couple of Extasis (and probably he swallowed them all before shooting). It is so funny. Watch her nails.

I watch it over and over again, and the song is so catchy, I love that cut in the middle to a slow beat, and then back to her shouting.

Azealia Banks is becoming so famous that has collaborated with another "out of the box" band: Scissor Sisters, in the song Shady Love. She sings under the name of Krystal Pepsy. The name is so so over the top. It could be the name of a transexual acting on any Tarantino´s movie.
